To modify a style: In the Styles group on the Home tab, right-click the style you want to change and select Modify from the drop-down menu. A dialog box will appear. Make the desired formatting changes, such as font style, size, and color. If you want, you can also change the name of the style. Click OK to save your changes.
To restrict the formatting changes, follow the steps below. Select the Review Tab, then select Restrict Editing. Under Formatting Restrictions, select Settings. In the pop-up window, check the Limit formatting to a selection of styles box. Choose what to restrict, or select All. You must check the three boxes at the bottom separately.
